Breaking Bad Official
If with your friends you always spend hours talking about your current favourites – film, book, music, theatre, exhibitions etc. – then this new series is for you.
Because when everything is foreign around you the best thing you can do is searching for something, which you can relate to.
One great thing about discovering a series when it just ended on TV is that you do not have to wait ages for a new episode, or even a new season to arrive. This is what happened to me with Breaking Bad – yes I know, until now I have been living under a rock, but finally I am out and really into it. The storyline is crude, many times shocking, and lets you into the world of crime and drugs in a way that is totally scary and realistic at the same time. It is like a well-written novel, which with a series of events describes a huge change to every final detail. The acting and photography are just purely stunning – no wonder that the show received many awards (Emmy, Golden Globe etc.) and in 2013 the Writers Guild of America named it the 13th best-written TV series of all time. That same year, Guinness World Records called it the highest-rated TV series of all time, citing its season 5 Metacritic score of 99 out of 100.

I liked reading myself but I always thought that you could stay at home if you prefer reading. Then recently I was working on an article and during my research thanks to another great friend I came across a fantastic book. Quiet – The power of introverts in a world that cannot stop talking by
@susancain is a must read! Not because someone is an introvert or an extrovert, but because you start understanding people around you, and even yourself better.
Christmas market time
When it comes to Christmas markets I am used to mulled vine, fairy lights and little wooden stalls all covered with snow. So being in Brisbane with loads of sunshine and 30 degrees gives me a bit of work of finding the right mindset for this holiday season. Maybe visiting the annual QAGOMA Christmas Design Market is all I need! The event of this week features 36 leading local craft artists and designers, and looks like a perfect place to hunt for jewellery, ceramics, textiles, homewares, paper products and more.
The time and place of the event: 30 November, 9am-4pm, QAGOMA
